GULPDOWN was founded in summer 2005 by „Mick, „Jay“, „Paddy“ and „Mäse (Holly)“ After a few rehearses the guys decided to hook up with a second guitarist. So „Leo the Greek“ completed the band. After 2 years of rehearses and small shows, „Mick“ and „Leo the Greek“ left the band. They were replaced by „Micks“ junger brother „Böttn“ on the vocals and „Kev Diet“ on the guitar.This was the real start for GULPDOWN. 2008 the guys supported „The Sweet“ from the UK. 2009 GULPDOWN released their first CD, called „First Shot“ (EP). They even promoted their CD in the TV-Show „Musicnight“ on SF2. After the release, the band played many shows, such as supportact for legendary bands like „Pretty Boy Floyd“ (USA), „Britny Fox“ (USA), „Bullet Boys“ (USA) or the newcomers „Crazy Lixx“ (SWE). In the end of 2009, the band separated from „Kev Diet“. A few weeks later, „Arnie“ joined the band as the new guitarist. Just a few month later, the next bad news came along! „Jay“ and „Paddy“ decided to leave. Fortunately, a few weeks later „Manu J. Machine“ came for the Bass and „Kev“ was back on the Guitar! With this line-up (Böttn (Vocals), Arnie (Guitar), Kev (Guitar), Manu J. Machine (Bass) and Mäse (Drums)) the guys are ready to enter the stages, the crowds and the girls‘ hearts instantly, ’cause „rock n’roll is gonna set the night on fire..!!“
